Alchera is thrilled to announce that, in partnership with Milton Keynes City Council, we have been selected as one of the winners of the PropTech Innovation Challenge and have been awarded a share of the £1.2 million grant fund to deliver an innovative solution addressing housing and planning challenges.

The Challenge, run jointly by Geovation and the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG), brings together innovators, local authorities and industry to pilot solutions that accelerate housing delivery. Geovation, an initiative of Ordnance Survey, will provide delivery support and guidance, helping winners test their innovations in real-world environments.

Together with Milton Keynes City Council, Alchera is developing an AI-powered platform to transform section 106 & transport capacity assessments, enabling local authorities to speed up housing development approvals. This solution contributes directly to the UK government’s target of delivering 1.5 million new homes by 2029.

Over the next five months, Alchera will work closely with Geovation and pilot partners at Milton Keynes City Council to refine and test the platform, ensuring it is practical, scalable, and effective nationwide.
